In 2017, Fahrentec had tailor made 2 units of 20 tonne daily flake ice machines for the East African client. These two units are equipped with the powerful German Bitzer Screw Compressors, enhanced water condenser plus a special designed and manufactured pre-cooling water chiller had given a strong force to make the daily harvest reach 22Ton.

The flake ice is dry, and in large pieces. Ice temperature is around -5C to -8C. Ice thickness is around 2mm.

In order to cope with the unstable electricity supply in East Africa, Fahrentec has installed the voltage surge protector which could save the compressor of ice machine from burnt out caused by power surge.

Fahrentec also offers premium package for its FIF200 flake ice machine. The package will upgrade hot galvanized steel skid-frame to SUS201, also the material of Freon pipeline will change from steel to stianless steel, 5% enhancement in the condensing system, invertor controller for the ice cutting gear motor for enabling variable thickness of flake ice between 2~3mm. The package cost 2500USD on top of machine price.
